Queer Tango in September

As we enter the fall, a bit of tango !

We take to zoom, our portal to meet, greet, find our tango legs and hearts, and connect with our dance community. We have some events created with you in mind dear one!

Our Sunday virtual queer tango classes welcome Augusto LaMarshall on September 6. The godfather of queer tango joins us from Buenos Aires. Our very own Mira Barakat, shows us how resilient tango can be, and she returns to teach September 13, 20 and 27th.

Live performances take center stage at Abrazo, the virtual queer milonga on September 19th:

Full details soon, but we will have live music sets from Fifi Tango, a  live performance from the oh so lovely Ezgi Turmus & Ezgi Sarıkaya, a new series, The Tango Dairies, edited by Gigi and of course our birthday vals and toast. DJ sets from DJ Mackerelmint and  DJ Madeleine make the night hum sweet and lovely.

COST for all Abrazo events*

Sliding Scale for those who have stable and sufficient income: $5-$15 per event.

*All Abrazo events are free if your income has been affected by COVID-19. Please come as our guest.
