The Queer Tango Festivalito 2020

Due to COVID-19 and the March 10^th statement from the Alameda Public Health Department, we are cancelling our 2020 Festivalito with Gaston Olguin and the rest of our March events. ((http://www.acphd.org/2019-ncov.aspx.)

Though we are very sorry to cancel this event, a year in the making, we feel our first priority as a social dance community is to keep each other safe. There will be plenty of time to dance and come together again. We will of course refund everyone who has pre-paid for our festival. Gaston will give private lessons. Contact Dina: 321dina@gmail.com

We will split the profits 70/30 with Gaston to cover the cost of his flight (he came here from Buenos Aires on his own dime) and cover part of his lost income. Your donation will also ensure Abrazo can fund a 2021 festival—as the income from each festival funds the next as well as our weekly classes.

I want to thank Gaston so very much for coming back to the Bay Area —without a guarantee of income—to teach, work, dance and make magic with us. It is such pleasure to have such a talented, lovely teacher with us!

Wooden Table Café is an Argentinian and queer owned café in the heart of historical downtown Oakland, a few blocks from 19^th St. Oakland Bart Station.
